Once upon a time, web browsers disrupted desktop applications by migrating users to the web. Today, we are witnessing the next seismic shift: AI assistants are becoming the primary interface for interacting with data, services, and business logic.
Users no longer navigate websites. They articulate intent- and receive outcomes. This fundamentally alters how digital products must be architected.
HTML pages, traditional navigation, UX patterns, SEO, and ad-based models- the very pillars that defined the web for decades- are fast losing relevance.
🛬 Functions matter more than interfaces.
💉 Integrations matter more than pages.
In the coming years, the internet will evolve into a network of MCP (Model Context Protocol) nodes- services exposed directly to AI runtime environments. Users will curate custom suites of connectors much like they once organized browser bookmarks.
